Preview
The Atlanta Braves host the Milwaukee Brewers at Truist Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026, with first pitch set for 4:10 PM ET. Chris Sale gets the ball for Atlanta against Milwaukee's Kyle Harrison in what shapes up as a compelling pitching duel between two starters who know how to control a game. With the Braves looking to stack wins at home and the Brewers never an easy out in an NL matchup, this one carries real weight heading into the summer stretch.
Starting Pitchers: Chris Sale vs. Kyle Harrison
Sale is the headliner here, and for good reason. When the veteran lefthander is locked in, he's one of the most dominant arms in the National League — elite strikeout stuff, a slider that makes right-handed hitters look foolish, and the kind of command that keeps pitch counts efficient deep into games. The Braves need him to go six-plus and keep Milwaukee's lineup off the bases early.
Harrison is no pushover. The young lefthander has shown flashes of real frontline potential, and he'll bring a pitch mix designed to exploit Atlanta's left-handed heavy lineup. Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, and Austin Riley will need to be disciplined early and not chase Harrison's breaking ball out of the zone.

Keys to Watch Against Milwaukee
Sale's Command in the Early Innings
Sale can be electric when he establishes his slider early and gets ahead in counts. If he's locating his fastball on both sides of the plate in the first two innings, Milwaukee is going to have a long afternoon. But if his command wavers, the Brewers are patient enough to work deep counts and grind through an at-bat.
Olson and Riley vs. a Lefthander
Both Matt Olson and Austin Riley have the power to punish a mistake from a left-handed starter, but Harrison will likely try to exploit soft contact and weak grounders rather than give either slugger anything elevated. Expect Harrison to work the bottom of the zone aggressively. Olson and Riley need to stay through the baseball and not expand their strike zones.
Dubón Sets the Table at the Top
Mauricio Dubón leading off is a spark-plug move. His ability to get on base and use his speed to create early pressure puts immediate stress on a starting pitcher. If Dubón is getting on base and forcing Harrison into the stretch early, the Braves' offense has a chance to break through before the Brewers can settle in.
Jorge Mateo's Defensive Impact
Mateo at shortstop gives Atlanta elite range at the six spot, and against a lineup that can manufacture runs with contact and baserunning, his glove could be a difference-maker in a tight game.
Prediction
This is a winnable game on paper, and the Truist Park crowd on a Saturday afternoon gives Atlanta a genuine home-field edge. Sale needs to deliver a quality start — six innings, three runs or fewer — and the middle of this order needs to do damage against Harrison. The Braves take this one, 4–2, with Sale logging a strong outing and Olson delivering the key hit.
